Join Tahuna FC for an exciting 2026 season of football. We welcome players across First Kicks (U6–U7), Fun Football (U8–U9), Junior Football (U10–U13), and Youth Football (U14–U17).

Grades are based on the age your child turns in 2026.
2026 Fees:
First Kicks (4-7 years): $45
Fun Football (u8 - u9): $65
Junior Football (u10 - u13): $105
Youth Football (u14 - u17): $130
First Kicks Football (4-7 years)
Our First Kicks programme is tailored for our youngest footballers, aged 4-7 years. These sessions focus on fun and foundational skills through engaging drills and small-sided 3v3 games.
Sessions are held at Tahuna S2 field (next to Te Pā Harakeke) on Saturdays from 9.30am-10.30am. Term 2 & Term 3 (break for July school holidays, Kings Birthday and Matariki weekends).

Fun Football (u8-u9)
Fun Football is designed for children aged 7-8 years, providing a step up from First Kicks. These sessions include warm-ups, skill-building activities, and 5-a-side matches against other club teams.
New game day rules for Fun Football
Training sessions are held at Tahuna S2 field (next to Te Pā Harakeke) DAY AND TIME TBC.
Term 2 & Term 3 (break for holidays). Games are played at Saxton Field on Saturdays mornings from 10.30am - 11.20am
Games played during Kings Birthday and Matariki weekends, with no games during July school holidays.
Season: Saturday 2 May 2026.
Junior Football (u10-u13)
Our Junior Football programme is for players aged 10-13. Matches are held on Saturday mornings at various locations across Nelson Tasman, with training sessions during the week. The focus is on developing technical skills and enjoying the game, without the pressure of recorded results or standings.
Junior Football Age Groups and Formats:

10/11 Grade: 7-a-side matches on small pitches (55m x 35m) with a size 4 ball, 25-minute halves.
New game day rules for these grades -
12/13 Grade: 9-a-side matches on medium pitches (70m x 50m) with a size 4 ball, 25-30 minute halves.

At Tahuna FC, we believe in making football accessible to everyone. Our pricing is significantly lower than other local clubs because we are committed to creating a thriving community-based club. Our goal is to get more kids involved in football, building a supportive and inclusive environment.
Growing Girls’ Football at Tahuna
We are actively working to grow and support girls’ football at Tahuna FC. Our aim is to create girls-only teams, with a long-term view to supporting girls-only leagues in our region. We rely on the support of parents and volunteers to run these sessions smoothly. If you can assist with activities during the sessions, please get in touch. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to help and support our young players.
