GROWING GIRLS' FOOTBALL
AT TAHUNA

Girls want to play. Let's make sure they can.

We’re seeing strong interest from girls who want to play football.

As a club, we’d like to create girls-only teams and enter them into girls-only leagues where numbers allow. But that depends on registrations.

If enough girls sign up in an age group, we will look to form a girls-only team and enter the most appropriate competition available.

If the numbers aren’t there yet, girls are always welcome and supported in our mixed teams.

Why We’re Doing This

Tahuna FC wants to keep football affordable, inclusive, and enjoyable. It’s about playing with your mates and being part of a community club.

We believe girls should have the same opportunities, and that all clubs should be actively working to grow the girls’ game at community level.

What Happens Next

If your daughter is interested in playing, register through the normal process.

The more girls who register, the more options we can create.

More broadly, the more girls playing football anywhere in our region, the more viable and successful girls-only teams and leagues become. This isn’t just about our club, it’s about growing the girls’ game locally.
